Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
The honest read on sweet: 13 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run sweet the same way in Bristol: same nicotine salt bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sweet in Bristol works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet nicotine salt bottle really costs in Bristol
We run sweet the same way in Bristol: same nicotine salt bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sweet in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in Bristol survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised £52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.43 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
Is sweet legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.43 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
