What sour costs in Bristol
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same prefilled pod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour prefilled pod really costs in Bristol
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same prefilled pod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sour in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is sour legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.55 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
