How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
A coffee squonk mod from the discounted options in Bristol costs about £1.72 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into Bristol usually means waiting 2–4 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: coffee in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a coffee squonk mod really costs in Bristol
The honest read on coffee: 13 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested coffee in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.72 per 10 ml.
- Mixing coffee with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does coffee taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the coffee blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On coffee the budget price and the premium price can sit within £1.72 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should coffee start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
