Apple starter kit Vape in Bristol: the cheap shortlist
Apple in Bristol: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
Apple in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Apple starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple starter kit really costs in Bristol
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.68 per 10 ml.
How we tested apple in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where apple goes wrong
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.68 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for apple in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
Is apple legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does apple in a starter kit last?
In Bristol we measured 2 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
